This is the case with programming a single SAME code. However, you could also program the SAME codes for more than one county.

In such a case, you will receive the weather updates and warnings of all the counties whose codes have been programmed.

Programming Single SAME

After the time has been set, you need to click on the 'Down' arrow of the radio and select the "SAME SET".
For programming, only one code, select the word "SINGLE" which will give you access to the updates of only one county.
Once you have selected the 'Single' option, the screen will be changed to the SAME 01.
Press the 'Select' key again. Some 0's will appear on the screen. Here you will have to enter the SAME code of your county.
Move the arrows up and down to find and select the first number of the code. After the first number has been found, click the 'right' arrow to move to the next digit.
You will be able to program channels from here. Voila! You have programmed the SAME code. See? Not that hard.

Programming Multiple SAME

Now the process to program multiple codes is more or less the same.

To register multiple SAME codes, you will have to select the option "Multiple" when you first click on the "SAME SET" option.
Once again, the "SAME 01" will take the screen. After pressing 'Select', you will be redirected to the page where multiple 0's show up.
Enter the SAME code of your county in the way mentioned above.
Once you have entered all the digits of the code, press 'select' instead of 'menu'.
The "SAME 01" will appear, and you will have to press the "up" key to reach "SAME 02".
Select the option and enter the SAME code of the next county you want to register.
Repeat the same process for all the SAME codes you want to enter, and then press the menu.

Step 2: Programming Weather Frequency Channels

Programming the weather frequency channels is a vital step. The correct frequency will block out any interruptions and wayward reception of signals.

Thus, this step needs to be given the utmost attention. In some channels, you will hear some disturbances irrespective of it being the correct channels.

To program the channels, press the menu key, and press the down arrow until the option “channel” has been reached. Press ‘select’.
Use the arrows to search for the weather channel you are looking for.
In case you reside on the outskirts of the county, you may need to program an additional channel. This can be done by contacting the National Weather office of your region.
You could find the list of weather channels of various countries on the internet.
You have now programmed your midland weather radio, and it is ready for being used.
